13.11.2009

Time: 19th – 20th May 2010

For the 8th time, three strong trade fair events are organized simultaneously in Ouluhalli in May 2010. For the 8th time now, Kunnossapito 10 – Maintenance introduces the latest solutions and methods for industrial maintenance and upkeep of the infra to increase productivity and competitivity. In addition, current mining maintenance and safety issues related to the maintenance industry feature prominently.

Sopimusvalmistus 10 – Subcontracting is organized for the third time. Industrial services, metal and machine workshop products, electrical, electronic and mobile products, and rubber and plastic products are highlighted. The event is complemented by the Norrkama 2010 exhibition, which comprehensively brings together equipment manufacturers for the measurement, adjustment and automation industries. Norrkama is organized by SMSY, PIPO ry.

In addition to the fairs there are also versatile seminars and exhibitors infos in the exhibition area. The seminars are organized by Kunnossapitoyhdistys Promaint ry and POHTO Oy.

“A versatile group of professionals from the industry are expected to visit the fair. Last time, in spring 2008, there were 3364 visitors at the fair. According to the visitor survey, 65 % of the interviewed were responsible of purchases and took part in decision making. The event in question is very much regional, focusing on the North Finland and Bothnian Arc markets, because 82 % of the visitors come from 200 km distance of Oulu.” tells the Project Manager Juha Nyholm.

Against the recession and over it

The challenging economic situation is visible and keenly felt in Finnish industry. Industrial production decreased dramatically in September, and figures from the electrical and electronics industry cast a pessimistic shadow over the general outlook. After the economic downturn, efficiently operating companies with healthy cost structures will succeed. Efficiency is maximized by acting and anticipated maintenance. Concentrating on core operations will increase competitiveness, whilst networking with subcontractors will ensure work for more Finnish companies. The totality of three events offers an excellent networking field for these actions.
